CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio couple who committed suicide stole $3.8 million from a Cleveland hospital, about $1.6 million more than first thought.

A report Monday by police in suburban Beachwood, where Jenny and Jeff Hovinen of Russell Township had post office boxes, also showed the couple had minimum monthly credit-card payments of $20,000.

The money was stolen from St. Vincent Charity Hospital, where Jenny Hovinen was director of marketing and handled cable TV advertising accounts.

The hospital planned a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

The bodies of the two, both 41, were found by their housekeeper in July six days after Jenny Hovinen was suspended when the hospital questioned advertising payments. Two charcoal grills were set up in the basement of their home. They died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

While it is sad that they are dead, at least we don’t need to burn tax payer money in the courts, and lock them up forever.

I guess they decided to checkout before being ‘grilled’ by the courts. I wonder if they at least cooked a burger or two since the grills were fired up? A last meal while leaving the gene pool.
