AT STAKE: A berth in Saturday’s Division I state championship match at 1 p.m. against the winner of today’s other semifinal match between No. 1 Ursuline Academy (27-0) and No. 3 Mount Notre Dame (23-4).

DIRECTIONS: Follow Interstate 71 south to I-70 west. Exit onto I-675 south. Exit North Fairfield Road. Turn right onto North Fairfield Road. Turn right onto Col. Glenn Highway. Turn right onto on-ramp at Ohio 844 and exit at Wright State University. Turn left onto University Boulevard. Turn left onto Raider Road and follow to Nutter Center.

Noteworthy

Both semifinal matches will be played between members of the same conference. Olmsted Falls beat Brecksville in three games in both of their Southwestern Conference matches. Ursuline Academy defeated Mount Notre Dame in four games in the first match between the Greater Cincinnati League rivals, and in five games in their second match this season.
Brecksville reached the Class AAA championship match in 1980, losing to Mother of Mercy 7-15, 15-12, 15-9.
The state championship matches will be broadcast live, beginning with Division II at 11 a.m. Saturday. Former Elyria High School coach Carol Russo will provide color commentary.
