Mikel Hunley, Sr., 59, of Elyria, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Parma Community General Hospital after a short illness. He was born October 7, 1949 in Whitesburg, Kentucky and had lived in Mentor before moving to Elyria 17 years ago.

He was employed as an electrician with General Motors at the G.M. Plant in Parma for 22 years.
He enjoyed watching documentaries and spending time with his family.

Mikel is survived by his wife, Sandy J. (nee Osier); sons, Mikel B., Jr. and Craig A. Hunley, both of Elyria and Timothy W. Hunley of Lorain; two grandchildren; and mother, Lena Mae Hunley (nee Smith).

He was preceded in death by his father, George Hunley.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 7 to 9 P.M. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria.
