You know that nightmare of a driving experience known as Route 57?
Well, guess what? The barrels are coming down. That’s right: The Shelly Co., which has been revamping the pitted highway all summer, is pulling up stakes for the year and won’t be back to finish its work until the weather breaks. The work the company finished will allow all four lanes — two in either direction — to be used throughout the winter without the peril of popping a tire in one of the potholes that were a feature of the road last winter.
