The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Bobby Ray Armes, 72, of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home in Knoxville.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Moen Plant in Elyria. Bobby loved spending time in the mountains, hunting, camping, fishing and gardening.
Bob "Antique" Armes will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Klein) Armes of Loudon; daughters, Barbi (Richard) Strauser of Loudon, Kimberly (nee Armes) Majoras of Elyria; six grandchildren; three great-greatchildren; brothers, B.J. and Beverly Armes of Crossville, Daryl and Laura Armes of Nebraska, Larry and Pat Armes of Nashville, Tommy Armes, Ronnie and Norma Armes, Carlos Armes, and Eric and Leann Armes, all of Petros; sisters, Jewel Armes of Petros; several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins; and a very special cousin, Phillip (Bug) Ward of Sunbright.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Armes of Petros; mother, Ester (Ward) Armes of Sunbright; sisters, Loula Armes of Petros, Patricia (Armes) Jackson of Elmont, Alabama; and son-in-law, Tom Majoras of Elyria.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Brother Lonnie Lowe officiated. The pallbearers were B.J. Armes, Ronnie Armes, Carlos Armes, Eric Armes, Phillip (Bug) Ward and Jim Pemberton.
Schubert Funeral Home, of Wartburg Tennessee, handled arrangements.
