CAVALIERS 110, HAWKS 96

Nov. 22 at Quicken Loans Arena

LeBron James had 24 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in a game in which the Cavaliers led by as many as 28 and never trailed, but lacked a killer instinct and had to bring their star back in late.
Mo Williams added 20 points, Delonte West had 18 and Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in with 17.
The Hawks, who were playing without power forward Josh Smith, got just four points from Joe Johnson, who was 1-of-8 from the field. No Hawks starter scored more than 12 points as reserves Maurice Evans (21) and Acie Law (20) led the scoring parade.

All five starters scored in double figures as the Hawks ended a 10-game winning streak for Cleveland, which was without Ilgauskas.
Point guard Mike Bibby led the way with 24 points, five rebounds and six assists, while small forward Marvin Williams added 19 points and seven boards.
James (33 points, six rebounds, eight assists) and Williams (26 points) tried to keep the Cavaliers in it, but West went just 5-of-19 from the field and the bench produced only 11 points in 51 minutes.
The Cavaliers were 5-of-22 from beyond the arc, with Williams, West and Wally Szczerbiak combining to go 2-of-14.

Cleveland led by 13, then held on to win despite a 35-point second half.
James had 26 points and 11 assists, Williams had 20 points and made 4 of 5 3-pointers and Ilgauskas finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Cleveland shot just 16-of-24 at the line, including 8-of-14 by James, and committed 14 turnovers, five of them by West, but held the Hawks to .419 shooting from the field.
The game got close late due to a scoring barrage from former Cavalier Flip Murray, but the outcome was never really in doubt down the stretch.

Playing a rare 1 p.m. game, Cleveland won its eighth straight – the streak would stretch to 13 – behind a 24-point, seven-assist night from Williams.
James added 22 points and Ilgauskas had 16 on an afternoon when he reached 10,000 for his career.
The Cavaliers held the Hawks to 13 points in the first period, led 53-35 at halftime and were up by as many as 24, making the final score deceiving.
Johnson had 24 points for the Hawks, while Murray added 22 off the bench.
“We`ve been playing some great basketball,” James said. “If I had any worries (about the 1 p.m. start), we kind of flushed them in the first few minutes. Defensively, we were in tune.”
