Lorain police
Thursday, July 9
11:40 a.m. – A woman reported the mother of her boyfriend is harassing her and threatening her because the boyfriend was arrested for hitting the girlfriend.
12:45 p.m. – 900 block W. 17th St., a woman reported she saw a man take what looked like a shotgun out of brush in a nearby yard.
2 p.m. – 1700 block E. 29th St., police met a woman and her 6-year-old daughter at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain and the woman told police her daughter had been bitten by a mixed-breed terrier that lived next door to the child’s babysitter. The girl received stitches in her leg, and the dog was quarantined pending proof of shots.
3:15 p.m. – 1200 block W. 14th St., a man reported someone broke into the house he’s rehabilitating and stole copper pipe from the basement. He also told police there were several small burns in the living room carpet and a large curtain in an upstairs bedroom apparently being used as a blanket by a squatter.
3:35 p.m. – 1100 block Meister Road, 16-year-old Lorain boy charged with the theft of a baseball cap from A.J. Wright. The teenager told police stealing was “how you get things when you don’t have any money.” When the officer asked the teenager why he didn’t get a job, the boy replied, “You get me a job,” police said.
Friday, July 10
5:05 a.m. – 1200 block W. Erie Ave., a man reported two men stole the GPS unit from his vehicle.

Thursday, July 9
12:54 p.m. – A man reported another man driving erratically and swearing at him and making rude gestures while the two were driving on East Broad Street. Police ran the license plate and found a similar complaint against the suspect from April.
3:30 p.m. – 8700 West Ridge Road, manager of Convenient Food Mart reported two men stole $75 in steaks from the store.
5:16 p.m. – 400 block Foster Ave., Gerold Nenzoski, 46, Elyria, arrested on a Huron County warrant for felonious assault.
8 p.m. – East Bridge Street near Tannery Street, Jackie Catlin, 43, Elyria, charged with burglary for stealing cash, a cell phone and a desk drawer containing change from a 57-year-old man she befriended in a nursing home as he recovered from heart surgery.
7:40 p.m. – 100 block Midway Mall Blvd., Lynn A. Gray, 23, Cleveland, charged with theft of DVDs and a toy gun from Wal-Mart. While being booked, officers found drugs and Gray was subsequently charged with drug abuse heroin, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments and a warrant through the county sheriff.
9:01 a.m. – A man came to the police station to report his $2,000 wedding ring had been lost or stolen.

10:30 a.m. – 11200 block Indian Hollow Road, Carlisle Township, $1,000 Sony flat-screen TV and air wrench stolen from garage.
Thursday, July 9
7:53 p.m. – 11500 West Ridge Road, Darrin Adamson, 30, Elyria, charged with assault, and Neil Williams, 40, Elyria, charged with domestic violence, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after his girlfriend reported Williams and Adamson threw their beers on her when she accidentally knocked Williams’ beer over. Williams became aggressive and resisted arrest when deputies tried to question him.
