3:10 p.m. — 6600 block of state Route 83. Resident reported $3,795 in items including a bulletproof vest, and haz-mat boots and clothing were taken from a vehicle overnight.
Sunday, July 19
12:59 a.m. — 6600 block of Miller Road. Three family members, Roberta U. Squire, 42, and Adam C. Quinones, 19, both of North Ridgeville, were charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business. David E. White Jr., 24, of North Ridgeville was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and vandalism following an incident where they confronted police investigating a hit-skip accident that left a damaged vehicle on their property. One of the adults kicked out the window of a police cruiser during their arrest.
Monday, July 20
1:50 p.m. — 33760 Center Ridge Road. Shane A. Beshears, 20, of North Ridgeville charged with theft for taking an energy drink valued at $5.78 from a Walgreen’s store.
4:08 p.m. — 32528 Lorain Road. Nathon E. Crawford, 32, of Lorain charged with unlawful restraint and menacing after police said he confronted his nine-year-old son, with whom he has no legal rights, at a McDonald’s restaurant where the boy was eating with his aunt. Reports said the man grabbed the boy and refused to let go until other adults intervened.
8:15 p.m. — 6400 block of state Route 83. John N. Pinchak, 39, of North Ridgeville charged with dog-at-large after a neighbor complained Pinchak’s dog was attacking a raccoon in the neighbor’s front yard.
Wednesday, July 22
7:31 a.m. — 6000 block of Albert Avenue. Resident reports theft of $1,195 in items including a GPS, satellite radio and an iPod from two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway.
5:41 p.m. — 34077 Lorain Road. A purse, medication, debit cards, cell phone and other items valued at $405 reported taken from a car in the parking lot of Fields United Methodist Church.
Thursday, July 23
9:41 p.m. — Gatewood Drive at Gatestone Road. A 15-year-old female was cited into juvenile court on charges of domestic violence. Reports said the teen accused her 58-year-old father of assaulting her. Investigation revealed he struck his daughter after she initially hit him and tried to grab the steering wheel while he drove.
Saturday, July 25
12:01 a.m. — 32000 block of Lorain Road. John H. Witherspoon, 53, of Cleveland charged with driving under the influence and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle after police found a loaded handgun in his vehicle during a sobriety checkpoint stop.
7:56 p.m. — 32000 block of Lorain Road. Daphne E. Yost, 28, of North Ridgeville charged with driving under the influence.
