North Ridgeville police log: Sept. 10, 2009

Wednesday, Aug. 26
4:12 p.m. — 36300 block of Westfield Drive. A resident reported the overnight theft of an MP3 player valued at $170 from a vehicle.

Thursday, Aug. 27
5:03 p.m. — 36100 block of Euclid Drive. Richard Forgues, 58, North Ridgeville, charged with dog-at-large after a woman was reportedly trapped in her car by a dog standing outside the driver’s door. When police arrived, the dog’s owner said the animal had slipped loose from its leash.

Friday, Aug. 28
11:16 a.m. — 7400 block of state Route 83. Richard A. Monaco, 60, Avon Lake, charged with animal-at-large after a neighbor complained that a chicken was running around in their backyard. Police said the neighbor backed up the complaint with surveillance video showing the chicken jumping a fence to enter their yard.

Saturday, Aug. 29
4 p.m. — Stoney Lake Drive at Otten Road. Veronica E. Ashworth, 20, Brunswick, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Sunday, Aug. 30
12:42 a.m. — 8000 block of Maddock Road. Joseph A. Greenland, 30, North Ridgeville, charged with driving under suspension.
4:29 a.m. — Lear-Nagle and Chestnut Ridge roads. Paul M. Westmoreland, 41, Grafton, charged with driving under the influence and reckless operation.
8:27 p.m. — 5500 Lear Nagle Road. Brandon M. Brennan, 19, Elyria, charged with possession of marijuana, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and trespassing at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. Two North Ridgeville girls, ages 16 and 15, charged with drug abuse and trespassing.
