They real story here is that 0.8% of local workers have fallen off the unemployment rolls. To print anything else is nothing more than propaganda. There is no improvement in the local employment situation. Just less workers filing because they are no longer eligible for unemployment.

its because everyone with any brains has moved from Lorain County. There hasn’t been jobs there since the 80’s. Not the place I would of ever brought my kids back to live there. New unemployment claims arent filed if people already have it.. and most are probably run out of benefits…

‘They’ forgot!
Not a Capital Idea http://buckeyeinstitute.org/article/1463
Most people have ‘left Ohio’ to find work!
Your politico idiots from the ‘PAST’ let them send jobs overseas with NAFTA!
What did you expect? And NOW you cry and want to tax people more for your dumb decisions?
Nothing will pass come Nov, 3rd! Unless, they ‘fix’ the votes?

Most people that “fall off” their 6 months of unemployement then get to file for federal unemployment for 20 weeks then get another extended 20 weeks of federal. I actually have a friend who has been on unemployment for 2 years with all the extensions. Since the recession started a bit over a year ago (according to press) that means people are still collecting unemployment.
I tend to agree though on that people have probably moved out of the county to find other jobs.
