Wednesday, Oct 21
8:40 a.m. – 100 block Wynn Ave., car stolen from residence.
9:22 a.m. – 200 block E. Erie Ave., car stolen from residence overnight. Recovered by police at East 39th Street and Globe Avenue. It had been set on fire and destroyed.
10:40 a.m. – 100 block Lincoln Ct., check stolen from mailbox and cashed.
3:09 p.m. – 2800 Seneca Ave., a 16-year-old Lorain boy was charged with aggravated robbery for demanding money from a 72-year-old Lorain man at knifepoint.
3:45 p.m. – 1700 block E. 33rd St., residence and detached garage broken into.
4:07 p.m. – 700 block Georgetown Ave., bench, which had been chained to a tree, stolen from yard.
4:46 p.m. – 3100 block Colorado Ave., a man reported a former friend sent him a threatening message via MySpace.
5:20 p.m. – 100 block Park Meadow, cash, jewelry and prescription drugs stolen from vehicle.
6:44 p.m. — 100 block Academy Ct., car broken into, camera stolen.
6:49 p.m. – 4300 block Kingsbury Court, Damian Strauser, 33, of Lorain, charged with domestic violence after his 15-year-old daughter told police Strauser pushed her into a chair, insisted she call herself an idiot and told her he wanted to kill her during an argument over her behavior.
7 p.m. – 4900 block Midway Mall Blvd., Janae Ward, 19, of Huron, arrested for theft of clothing and a purse from Sears.
10:27 p.m. – 500 block Brownell Ave., a 19-year-old Lorain woman reported the father of her child choked her and twisted her arm during an argument.
Thursday, Oct. 22
3:22 a.m. – 1700 block E. 28th St., Bryan Atkinson, 19, of Lorain, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly lying to police about being inside a car that hit the front of the Flamingo Night Club. A police report indicated the car had “extensive” front-end damage and was “resting against the building.” A damaged windshield indicated a passenger was also in the car, but no one else was in the area, police said.
Thursday, Oct. 22
12:11 p.m. – West 33rd Street and Oakdale Avenue, a 20-year-old Lorain man reported he was threatened by another man.
3:03 p.m. – 3300 block Lincoln St., prescription drugs and a JCPenney gift card stolen.
6:56 p.m. – 500 block W. 32nd St., a woman reported she went to investigate an argument between a woman and her son and the woman in question assaulted her.
8:44 p.m. – 800 block Colorado Ave., theft of two .38-caliber semi-automatic pistols from a vehicle.
10:02 p.m. – 3100 block Victory Ave., theft of black Motorola flip cell phone.

11:08 a.m. – 42400 block North Ridge Road, Elyria Township, GPS system stolen from vehicle.
Wednesday, Oct. 14
7:07 p.m. – 35100 block Elm Road, a man reported a TV, an Xbox 360 with 25 games, $100 in coins and other items stolen from his residence.
9:54 p.m. – 45100 Telegraph Road, a woman reported her purse stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at Victory Baptist Church.
Sunday, Oct. 18
5:02 p.m. – 14200 S. Boone Road, an 80-year-old Columbia Station woman reported her 30-year-old grandson threatened to beat her up, she believes, because she refuses to loan him money.
Monday, Oct. 19
11 a.m. – 36400 Butternut Ridge Road, Eaton Township, a couple reported threatening phone calls from their niece.
11:17 a.m. – 9900 block Emerson Ave., Columbia Township, car stolen from residence. It was later involved in a hit-skip accident in Fairview Park. Car was recovered, heavily damaged, in Cleveland Metroparks near Spafford Road.
Wednesday, Oct. 21
4:15 p.m. – 25700 block Akins Road, Columbia Township, a 16-year-old Columbia Station boy was charged with domestic violence and felonious assault for hitting and kicking his father during an argument.

Thursday, Oct. 22
9:30 a.m. – 100 block Elizabeth St., $1,200 in tools stolen from garage.
12:15 p.m. – 100 block Filbert St., wallet with $1,020 cash and cards stolen from vehicle.
3:32 p.m. – 1200 block Lake Ave., the manager of Convenient reported a customer cashed three stolen checks totaling $1,500 at the store.
4 p.m. – 1600 block N. West River Road, $3,000 computer stolen from vehicle while parked at Olive Garden.
4:34 p.m. – 900 block West Ave., a 9-year-old girl was charged with domestic violence for throwing things at her grandmother, hitting her mother and breaking a spindle from a chair and hitting her mother with it when the girl was told she couldn’t get a new dress for school picture day.
5:30 p.m. – state Route 57 near state Route 113, two men reported former friends were harassing them.
Friday, Oct. 23
12:40 a.m. – 600 block East River St., David Woodburn, 44, of Elyria, charged with assault for hitting an employee at EMH Regional Medical Center while being checked in the emergency room.
2:34 a.m. – 100 block Clinton Ave., a man knocked at the residence asking about a woman. When told the woman no longer lived there, he brandished a handgun but left with the homeowner threatened to go get his knife. The man was described as African American in his 20s wearing a red shirt, jeans and black baseball cap.
6:50 a.m. – 800 Rosewood Drive, Shawn Thompson, 34, of Elyria, charged with menacing for threatening to beat up a 13-year-old boy at the bus stop with a baseball bat. She accused the teenaged boy of “having a problem” with her daughter and breaking into her home.
