Columbia Gas responding to natural gas leak in South Lorain

LORAIN — Columbia Gas has arrived on the scene and the Lorain Fire Department has left a natural gas leak in South Lorain.
The leak occurred about 9:40 a.m. when a backhoe hit a natural gas line, rupturing the one-inch service line going into the house at 122 West 32nd St. The Fire Department turned the scene over to Columbia Gas about 10:15 a.m.
Winds at the time of the leak were reported to be west-southwest.
