LORAIN — A 20-year-old Lorain man who was hit by a car after getting off a bus Thursday afternoon was released from a Cleveland hospital Friday.
Solomon Paris was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain and then by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland after being struck about 4 p.m. on Cooper Foster Park Road.
A witness told Lorain police Paris got off a Lorain County Transit bus that was traveling east on Cooper Foster, ran to the back of the bus, then darted into traffic attempting to cross Cooper Foster.
Police said he ran right in front of a westbound car driven by Bryana Adkins, 17, of Lorain.
Adkins told police she had no time to react before hitting Paris, and the witness agreed.
Paramedics had told police Paris’s injuries were “life threatening.”
