Mangini didn’t give the specific injury. Rogers, who went to the Pro Bowl last season, was engaged with a Bengals lineman [...]

Bengals 16, Browns 7: Beaten and bruised
CINCINNATI — Carson Palmer completed just 13 passes for a pedestrian 110 yards. Don’t try selling that as a silver lining to Browns linebacker David Bowens. “They didn’t pass the ball,” he said. “They came out and ran the ball 75 times.” Bowens was exaggerating, but he got his point across. The Bengals ran the [...]
Quinn, offense struggle in another lackluster loss
CINCINNATI — At least the Browns lead the league in something: untimed downs. Of course, they also lead in points allowed in those untimed downs. So don’t get carried away. A routine 16-7 loss to the AFC North-leading Cincinnati Bengals featured a subplot interesting to impartial observers but infuriating to Browns coach Eric Mangini. For [...]
Browns notes: Cribbs shut out
CINCINNATI — Joshua Cribbs has resorted to begging. The Pro Bowl kick returner was a non-factor in the return game again Sunday in the 16-7 loss to Cincinnati. He’s averaged fewer than 23 yards on kickoff returns for four straight games and hasn’t had a return touchdown in five weeks. Teams aren’t kicking him the [...]

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Bengals are second in the NFL in rushing defense, allowing 84.3 yards a game. They have held their opponent under 100 yards a team-record six straight games.
