Concert raises money for research
Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center hosted a concert Tuesday by guitarists Richie McDonald, James Otto and Chuck Wicks. The WGAR/LCCC Guitars for Girls concert benefited the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Steak fry fundraiser for cancer victim
Friends and famliy will host a steak fry 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Community School Legacy Gym on Route 82 in North Eaton to benefit Bill Forgues, who is suffering from cancer.

Legion hosts 90th early bird dinner
American Legion Auxiliary Elyria Unit 12 will celebrate the 90th Early Bird Dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 at the post home at 393 Ohio St. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Lorain County Metro Parks’ Gary Gerrone presents “Cosmos in the Classroom” at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the North Branch Library on the Lorain County Community College campus.

A three-part speaker’s series will offer information on how to build personal and business contracts through social media.

Collections for the Not-Forgotten Box, the holiday fundraiser sponsored by the Salvation Army and The Chronicle-Telegram, have begun.
The TLC Bar, 333 Clark St., is sponsoring a spaghetti-and-meatballs lunch 2 to 6 p.m. Nov. 14, with proceeds to benefit the toy collection campaign.
Tickets must be purchased at the TLC Bar by Saturday.
