Thursday, Oct. 29
12:38 p.m. - Lake Avenue and Parkview Court, John Shand, 50, of Amherst, charged with driving under the influence after a breath test showed a blood alcohol level of 0.264. Shand has three prior drunken driving arrests, according to police.
1:48 p.m. - 100 block Broad St., James Gehm, 41, of Elyria, charged with the theft of $69.95 worth of condoms from Rite Aid.
2:30 p.m. - 1000 block Chestnut Commons, Shantaya Harris, 19, of Elyria, charged with the theft from Wal-Mart of two Halloween costumes and makeup, some of which she concealed in the purse of a small unidentified child who was with her, according to a police report.

2:25 a.m. - Broad Street and Middle Avenue, Edward Brown, 27, of Lorain, charged with domestic violence and possession of marijuana.

7:17 p.m. - 3000 block Oberlin Ave., theft of $120 cash from a bank envelope while victim was at Raceway Gas.
10:02 p.m. - Meister Road and Oberlin Ave., Michelle Rosario, 32, of Lorain, charged with driving under the influence and left of center.
Friday, Oct. 30
9:15 a.m. - 1700 block E. 30th St., theft of wallet from vehicle.
9:25 a.m. - 2600 block Ashland Ave., a 17-year-old Lorain boy charged with disorderly conduct persisting.
9:47 a.m. - 4100 block Talbot Lane, gift cards, air freshener and meat stolen from residence.
