Report: Lorain man held at gunpoint

LORAIN – A 43-year-old man told police a man held a gun to his head just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday as he was walking on West Ninth Street near Lovett Place.

The victim said five men dressed in black hooded sweatshirts with red bandanas over their faces approached him and started “talking crazy” to him, when one of the men pulled out a black semiautomatic handgun, held it to the victim’s head and yelled, “I’m gonna kill you.”

The victim told the group, whose age and race he couldn’t determine, to take his wallet and not hurt him. At that point the group fled south on nearby Long Avenue without taking anything from the victim, a police report said.
