Avon voters reject 2 library levies; Oberlin passes; Grafton fails
Voters in Avon soundly defeated to library issues, one for library operation and one for construction of a new facility.
The operating levy went down 4,019 (65.79%) to 2,090 (34.21%), and the construction levy went down 4,128 (67.76%) to 1,964 (32.24%), according to complete but unofficial results from the Lorain County Board of Elections.
A levy for the Oberlin library passed 1520 (66.58%) to 763 (33.42%). A levy for the Grafton library just narrowly failed, going down 3,319 (52.06%) to 3,056 (47.94%).
