LORAIN — Four people are facing charges after three people were robbed at gunpoint in a home invasion early Wednesday morning, Lorain police reported.

Donald Hall, 20, of Lorain, is facing charges of aggravated burglary, having weapons under disability, carrying certain prohibited weapons and disrupting public service. Erik Latorre, 19, of Lorain, was charged with aggravated burglary, disrupting public service and receiving stolen property. Jose Latorre, 19, of Lorain, was charged with aggravated burglary, disrupting public service, receiving stolen property and obstructing official business. Brittany McAtee, 20, of Lorain, was charged with complicity to aggravated burglary, expired plates, failure to signal and fictitious plates.

The incident occurred on the 1900 block of E. 30th St. The victim, who lives at the residence, told police that he was watching television at 12:30 a.m. with two friends when there was a knock at the door. When he answered, a black male later identified as Hall pointed a sawed-off shotgun at his face while the other men pushed him into the house. The three began demanding money while ransacking the house. When the man told the three he didn’t have anything, Hall allegedly hit him in the head with the shotgun, knocking him to the ground.

According to the police report, the three suspects left with $250 in cash, the three victims’ cell phones, a 12-gauge shotgun, a .50-caliber rifle and ammunition.

The suspects were caught when McAtee’s car was pulled over for failing to signal when turning northbound onto Oberlin Avenue from West 30th Street. Officers observed a cell phone similar to one that had been stolen in the home invasion and had dispatchers call the number given by the victim. The phone rang in McAtee’s vehicle, and all four were taken out of the vehicle. One of the victims identified the three men as those who had invaded the home.

The guns were all recovered during the subsequent investigation.
