CLEVELAND — A North Olmsted man has been charged with sexual battery amid accusations he had sex with a 17-year-old student of his when he taught at a private Cleveland school.
Patrick Janson, 42, was indicted today on 16 counts of sexual battery.
While employed as a music teacher at St. Joseph Academy, Janson had sex with a 17-year-old female student in his music class who was a junior at the high school between 2000 and 2002, according to the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office.
Janson began seducing the victim online and engaged in sex with her during the school day. He also invited her to his home, then in South Euclid, where he had sex with her.
Janson was arrested Oct. 21 at his home in North Olmsted. The investigation continues into other possible victims.
