Thursday, Nov. 19
12:58 p.m. – 800 block Brownell Ave., theft of school-issued laptop.
3:44 p.m. – 1000 block Meister Road, Apples, Cynthia Ferguson, 25, of Elyria, charged with the theft of paper towels.
4:14 p.m. – West 14th Street and Reid Avenue, Luis Rodriguez, 36, of Lorain, charged with driving under suspension, no turn signal and possession of marijuana.
10 p.m. – 1500 block E. 29th St., Shakyra Robinson, 21, of Lorain, charged with disorderly conduct and violating a protection order. Isaiah Gonzalez, 19, of Lorain, charged with violating a protection order.
11:10 p.m. – 1600 block Cooper Foster Park Road, theft of Xanex from residence.

Friday, Nov. 20
2:26 a.m. – 1100 block Oberlin Road, two men caught by homeowner breaking into residence.

Elyria police

Wednesday, Nov. 18
11:16 a.m. – 1200 block Park Ave., .22-caliber CO2 pellet pistol found in flowerbed.
1 p.m. – 3000 block Midway Mall, Macy’s, Alex Romeu, 26, of Lorain, charged with the theft of shirts.
1:05 p.m. – 4300 block Midway Mall, Payless Shoes, Miranda Nastal, 32, of Columbia Station, charged with the theft of men’s shoes.
1:48 p.m. – 1500 block Lake Road, a 15-year-old student at Education Alternatives was charged with assault.
2:19 p.m. – 1500 block Lake Road, a 14-year-old student at Education Alternatives was charged with assaulting a teacher.
3:30 p.m. – 500 block Second St., a man reported four to five unknown males threatened his 18-year-old son and threatened to shoot someone in their home during a dispute over money.
9 p.m. – 3100 block Midway Mall, Claire’s Boutique, Colleen Votruba, 36, of Avon Lake, charged with the theft of makeup and jewelry.
11:30 p.m. – 700 block West River Road, North, Jennifer Jones, 36, of Elyria, charged with assault.

Thursday, Nov. 19
3:57 p.m. – 200 block W. Bridge St., report of an unknown juvenile trying to rob two other boys with what may have been a pellet gun.
4:26 p.m. – 800 block Lake Ave., theft of more than $800 in jewelry from residence.
8:15 p.m. – 800 block Broad St., a couple reported two men, one reportedly armed with an AK-47, demanded they return items the suspect believed they’d stolen.

Friday, Nov. 20

12:06 a.m. – 100 block Warren Ave., a woman reported a man who lives with her assaulted her and then fled. The police report stated the suspect has five prior domestic violence charges.
2:38 a.m. – 8600 block West Ridge Road, an alarm alerted police to a break-in at Games & More. Entry was made through the roof and movies were scattered throughout the interior but nothing was reported stolen.
7:45 a.m. – 100 block Cleveland St., report of a break-in at the Salvation Army in which a video game system was stolen.
