VERMILION — A 17-year-old Lorain youth is in custody after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint Monday afternoon, Vermilion police reported.

The youth, after holding up the man around 1:15 p.m. near the McDonald’s in the 4700 block of Liberty Ave., left with three other people and headed west on Liberty Avenue, police said, before reportedly turning around and coming back.

According to reports, police observed the car and pulled it over. The four people were taken out of the car, and police said they found a loaded .38-caliber pistol and cash inside the vehicle.

The youth is charged with aggravated robbery, possession of crack and possession of marijuana. He was being held at the Erie County Detention Home.

I think the real sad part is that a 17 year old can get a handgun so easily…

I hope they lock all of these “kids” up and throw away the key…

Sorry but if your 17, and looking to get leniency with a judge for being a minor, using a deadly weapon proves your “man” enough to go to prison with the rest of our scum.

The man who was robbed owed his crack dealer $30
and he came to collect it, not quite a random innocent victim
