Wrestling club’s breakfast with Santa

The Midview Wrestling Club will be host a breakfast with Santa 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Midview High School. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. There will also be vendors available selling various items. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Midview High School wrestling team.

LaGrange Lions Club Holiday Cheer Boxes

The LaGrange Lions Club will be collecting food and coins to help support its annual Holiday Cheer Boxes, which will be distributed Dec. 19 to needy families in the Keystone School District. The LaGrange Lions Club receives assistance from Second Harvest, Burger King, WOBL/WDLW, businesses in LaGrange and residents from LaGrange.

The Lions Club is accepting names for those who need a box now through Wednesday. Recipients must live in the Keystone School District. For more information on being a recipient, call Kay at (440) 355-5781.

Food will be collected at each school, the Keystone-LaGrange Library (during operating hours), IGA in Sentinel Square, FirstMerit Bank, Tribute Tattoos and Dollar General. The coin boxes are at Village Pizza, Subway, the Enchanted Florist, Convenient/Sunoco, LaGrange Hardware, Choo-Choo’s, East of Chicago, IGA and Michelle’s Café.

Airman graduates from training

Air Force Airman Steven L. Wirth graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Wirth, a 2008 graduate of Keystone High School, is the son of Gregg and Debbie Wirth, LaGrange.

Kappa Delta Pi inductee

David Banyasz of Columbia Township is a new initiate of Kappa Delta Pi at Ashland University.  He is the son of James and Kathy Banyasz and is majoring in integrated mathematics.
