Chronicle’s charity ‘Star Wars’ auctions bring in nearly $700

The last round of The Chronicle’s “Star Wars” auctions ended Monday.

Out of the 162 individual items Adam Shields donated to The Chronicle-Telegram, all but 14 sold on eBay, bringing in a total of $695.08 before eBay and Paypal fees are taken into account.

One buyer, from Mount Vernon, Ohio, bought more than 50 of the items and is picking them up locally.

Unsold items will be donated to the Not-Forgotten Box, and proceeds will go to purchase toys for the Not-Forgotten Box.

Donations for the Not-Forgotten Box, sponsored by The Chronicle and the Elyria Salvation Army, can be dropped off at The Chronicle-Telegram, 225 East Ave., Elyria, weekdays during business hours through Dec. 18 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday.
