ELYRIA - A man wanted in Elyria on robbery, burglary and kidnapping charges was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Stockbridge, Ga., on Friday.

Johnny Jackson III, 20, of Elyria, was captured while trying to flee a Stockton residence. The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force had been moving in on Jackson’s location, acting on a lead from the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s Lorain County Division.

Jackson is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary and kidnapping from a Jan. 9 incident in Elyria. It is alleged that Jackson, armed with a handgun, along with several others stole $2,000 in property in the robbery.

Jackson is still in Georgia, awaiting extradition to Ohio.
