It’s official: Ganley to challenge Sutton

Car dealer Tom Ganley announced on his Web site today that he will run for the Congressional seat currently held by U.S. Rep. Betty Sutton, D-Copley Township.

Ganley, who had launched a bid for the U.S. Senate this summer, said in a statement on his Web site that he is giving up his Senate run against former Congressman Rob Portman, who was a strong favorite to win the Republican primary.

In his statement, Ganley accused Sutton of failing to deliver the leadership needed to deal with job creation and limit government.

Ganley enters the race with a massive financial lead over Sutton and huge name recognition.
