Friday, Feb. 19

2:35 p.m. – 200 block Harrison St., a man reported someone used his Social Security number to run up unpaid cable bills dating back to 2005.

8:13 p.m. – 100 block Garden St., Wyatt Menges, 23, of Lorain, arrested on warrants charging him with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and kidnapping; Herbert Lewis III, 24, of Lorain, charged with obstructing justice for trying to keep police out of the residence.

Saturday, Feb. 20

3 a.m. – 700 block Lake Road, Toni Bender, 20, of Lorain, arrested on warrants from Elyria Municipal Court and Sheffield Police.

Friday, Feb. 19

8:13 a.m. – 4700 block Oberlin Ave., a woman reported seeing a man spray paint a vehicle with green fluorescent paint.

11:49 a.m. – 1300 block N. Danley Square, residence spray painted with bright yellow/green paint.

12:30 p.m. – 400 block Missouri Ave., a man came to the police station to report he’d scared two women away from his work truck in the 400 block and then found an entire side had been spray painted with lime green paint.

6;55 p.m. – 1000 block W. 20th St., a man reported the theft of a 2002 Ford Taurus which was later recovered abandoned in an alley behind the 1800 block Washington Avenue.

8:24 p.m. – 200 block Kansas Ave., a man reported he applied for a loan online and was denied, but the told police the company has been calling him about twice a day since May 2009 demanding payment on a loan he never received and has started threatening him with being “detained and found guilty.”

9:34 p.m. – Colorado and Kansas avenues, Elicia Adams, 22, of Lorain, charged with running a red light and driving under suspension.
