INDIANAPOLIS — Jets coach Rex Ryan is funny — even in the offseason. His humor and mannerisms are remarkable similar to twin brother Rob, the Browns defensive coordinator.
“When you watch an offensive lineman run the 40, you say, ‘Whoo, he made it,’” Rex said Saturday of the drills at the scouting combine.
“I’m watching ESPN and, ‘Oooh, that’s not a real good shot,’” Ryan said, referring to a popular highlight of his large gut exposed to the world as he was switching jerseys while watching a hockey game. “Don’t get me wrong, I get hit on all the time by women.”
He also gave a shout-out to the U.S. men’s hockey team, telling them to take care of business Sunday in the gold-medal game versus Canada.
