Fire guts apartment building in Lorain

An apartment building at the corner of Meister and Leavitt roads in Lorain was destroyed Thursday evening. It looks as if residents of six to eight apartments were affected. No word yet on whether anyone was injured. For more on this story, see Friday’s edition of The Chronicle.
