1:50 p.m. – 1800 block N. Nantucket Drive., police were seeking a 28-year-old Lorain man on domestic violence charges after the man’s wife said he put her in a choke hold, slapped her and pushed her into a sofa during a fight.

6:45 p.m. – 1300 block Washington Ave., a woman discovered an envelope containing $2,000 cash missing from a bedroom dresser. The woman told police a male friend who spent time with her, her children and a female neighbor were the only ones who knew about the money.

7:17 p.m. – 845 West 22nd St., Jesse Merritt, 52, of Lorain, charged with criminal trespass after police said he ignored several warnings to leave the Hometown Market, where he has begged money from customers and tried to sell CDs, tools and other items.

7:30 p.m. – 1500 block E. 31st St. and Fulton Avenue, Lamontey Powell, 17, of Warrensville Heights, charged with no driver’s license, no seat belt and no illuminated lights following a traffic stop.

8:10 p.m. – 1300 block King Ave., a 28-year-old mother walking her 3-year-old son to Lakeview Park to play told police she was followed by a car for some distance.

9:18 p.m. – 3200 block Lexington Ave., a woman told police her 17-year-old brother spat in her face and her 9-month-old baby’s face following an argument, and also shoved her to the ground as she held her baby. The teen previously was cited for domestic violence.

11:42 p.m. – East 36th Street and Dallas Avenue, Lamont Thomas, 35, of Lorain, cited for failure to signal turn, and driving under suspension.
