Friday, March 12
7 a.m. – 1000 block Meister Road, an employee with Apples grocery store reported someone broke into three coin-operated pop machines during the night and stole the cash from the machines.
10:42 a.m. – 1500 block E. 30th St., a woman, seven weeks pregnant, reported her boyfriend punched her in the stomach during an argument.
1:15 p.m. – 1100 block Meister Road, Brett Benson, 36, of Avon and Jasmine Kochheiser, 30, of Lorain, were charged with the theft of clothing from A.J. Wright.
2:16 p.m. – 1700 block E. 28th St., a man reported another man threw hot soup on him, grabbed him by the throat and threw him against a wall and a vehicle during an argument.
3:05 p.m. – 400 block W. Fourth St., an employee of Dollar General reported a woman stole a package of T-shirts from the store.
4:21 p.m. – 1100 block E St., a woman reported her father threatened to shoot her husband in the eye.
4:32 p.m. – 1900 block E. 37th St., a man reported his daughter’s brother-in-law threatened to kill him during an argument over the suspect’s wish to contact his recently deceased brother’s wife.
5:41 p.m. – 4500 block Camden Ave., a woman reported her boyfriend punched her in the nose during an argument.
6:38 p.m. – 700 block West 23rd St., theft of amplifier, speakers and a battery from residence.
11:46 p.m. – 2300 block Kelly Place, a woman reported the father of her six children stole $550 cash from her purse.
11:54 p.m. – 4200 Palm Ave., a woman reported someone threw eggs at her house.
Saturday, March 13
2:42 a.m. – 3900 block Tacoma Ave., Richard Shawver III, 20, of Lorain, charged with underage alcohol consumption, operating a vehicle while impaired and operating a vehicle after underage consumption while impaired following a traffic stop.
5:53 a.m. – 1900 block E. 28th St., a man reported the theft of $1,700 in $20 bills stolen from his residence.
2 p.m. – Crehore Street and Missouri Avenue, a 17-year-old Lorain boy was charged with assault for punching his 18-year-old girlfriend in the face during an argument while she was driving.
2:17 p.m. – 1700 block Livingston Ave., a 16-year-old boy was charged with domestic violence for pushing his mother around the house and threatening to kill her during an argument.
8:16 p.m. – 2200 block W. 21st St., rear window of vehicle broken.
11:41 p.m. – Elyria Avenue and East 27th Street, Tony Hrpcha, 47, of Lorain, charged with driving while intoxicated and insufficient lights.
Sunday, March 14
1:06 a.m. – 1300 block Colorado Ave., Felix Rodriguez, 36, of Lorain, charged with stop sign violation, seat belt violation and driving while intoxicated. Rodriguez has three prior driving under the influence convictions, police said.
4:11 a.m. – 400 block W. 34th St., a woman signed assault charges on her two female cousins after telling police they “jumped” her and beat her up as the three were leaving the Brickhouse Bar.
9:54 a.m. – 2300 block Reid Ave., $1,000 in copper pipe stolen from residence.
Elyria police
Friday, March 12
1 p.m. – 300 block East Ave., a man reported two male family members assaulted him during an argument. The victim was treated and released from EMH Regional Medical Center.
4:05 p.m. – 800 Middle Ave., an 18-year-old North Ridgeville woman reported a 16-year-old Elyria boy kicked her vehicle, pushed her to the ground and hit her in the face when she refused to give him a ride.
4:10 p.m. – 100 block White Court, a woman reported someone broke into her apartment.
7:46 p.m. – 100 block Morgan Ave., a woman reported her 18-month-old daughter was bitten on the foot by a black Labrador while visiting at her father’s home. An adult, name unavailable, needed nine stitches on her right finger from the dog and told police the dog attacked while the baby’s diaper was being changed because the dog was “being protective of the baby,” according to a police report.
11 p.m. – 9600 block East River St., Michael Jones, 54, of Grafton, charged with tampering with evidence and possession of drugs.
Saturday, March 13
12:34 p.m. – 2400 block West River Road N., a woman reported finding used condoms in several rooms of her late parents’ home as well as the theft of antique furniture from the home.
2:33 p.m. – 300 block Market Drive, a woman reported her purse was stolen while she was shopping at Giant Eagle.
4:10 p.m. – 1100 block Oakwood Drive, a man who’d been living with a couple, but recently had to move out because of a falling out with them, reported the boyfriend had been physically abusing the woman’s 5-year-old son.
5:10 p.m. – 1000 block Chestnut Commons Drive, Michael Grabrovac, 40, of Elyria, charged with the theft of a cell phone from Wal-Mart.

Thursday, March 11
2:30 a.m. – 100 block Jerrol Court, Carlisle Township, John Hasman II, 45, of Elyria, charged with aggravated menacing for threatening to kill the male friend of his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Friday, March 12
8:54 a.m. – 16100 block Whitehead Road, LaGrange Township, a woman reported someone opened a DirecTV account in her name in Texas.
8:02 p.m. – 11500 block West Ridge Road, Carlisle Township, Lisa Garn, 43, of Elyria, charged with domestic violence for hitting her 11-year-old daughter in the head with a phone when the child poured her mother’s beer down the kitchen sink.
