Area politicians, rank and file union workers and others commemorated Workers Memorial Day yesterday in downtown Elyria.
They honored workers killed on the job and voiced concern for safety on the job.
Among those in attendance were Chris Chapman, Jeremy Lombardo, Paul Brooks and Joe Vargo, four of the laid-off firefighters called back to the Elyria Fire Department this week.
