COLUMBUS — Keystone track and field star Corry Sprouse was the school’s first state qualifier in the long jump. Now, he’s the first state champ.

With a distance of 22 feet, 9 inches, Sprouse made history today at the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II state track and field meet.

The senior needed every millimeter he flew as he won the state championship by a mere ½ inch over Milan Edison’s Brady Gelvin.
