Indians 7, Tigers 2: Tribe completes sweep of Tigers

Jeanmar Gomez allowed just two unearned runs in seven innings of his major league debut Sunday to help the Indians past the Tigers, 7-2, at Progressive Field.

Vermilion native Andy Oliver took the loss, allowing five runs on four hits over 3 2/3 innings.

An inside-the-park home run from Jhonny Peralta in the first inning highlighted Cleveland’s ninth win in the last 11 games at home.
