Fifteen years ago, Carol and Blair, owners of Hemlock Cottage and Furniture, expanded their well-known gift business to Wellington’s historic village. They added furniture and mattresses, filling three historic storefronts in downtown Wellington. Nine years ago, they moved to the former bowling alley on South Main Street, one mile south of the square, expanding yet again with the former paint ball World across the street more than doubling their size.

This year Hemlock expanded that space to include an Extreme Value room showing over 30 sofas and loveseats priced from $299 to $399, bedroom prices from $99 to $229 and mattress sets from $199 to $399. All are quality items priced for today’s budget-minded customers.

The main store is still filled with over 90 living room groups with sofas from $499, 1000s of lamps, end tables and over 40 TV cabinets to choose from. The annex houses over 50 all wood bedroom sets and 50 all wood dining sets … all priced below other furniture stores.

Hemlock Cottage offers no interest financing for 90 days, 6 months or 12 months. They accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. Delivery is free for a combined purchase of $499 or more within their delivery area. Store hours include Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sundays, Noon to 5 p.m.
