Police log for July 30, 2010

Elyria police

Wednesday, July 28

10:23 a.m. – 300 block Columbus St., garage broken into.

12:32 p.m. – 800 block Livermore Lane, tools worth more than $1,000 stolen from vehicle.

12:56 p.m. – 700 block Fairwood Blvd., fraudulent use of debit card reported.

7:25 p.m. – 100 block Midway Blvd., Wal-Mart, Regis Ferron, 35, of Lakewood, charged with theft, possession of criminal tools, obstructing official business and resisting arrest, accused of stealing a desktop computer, cat food and other grocery items.

Thursday, July 29

3:19 a.m. – Gulf Road and state Route 57, Tyrone White, 18, of Lorain, charged with grand theft auto on a Lorain warrant after he was found on the side of the road with a disabled stolen vehicle.

LaGrange Police

Wednesday, July 21

11:20 p.m. – 300 block Forest St., a resident reported that his neighbor’s car had been running in the driveway for four hours. Officers arrived and the owner of the car said he had fallen asleep and left it running.

Sunday, July 25

1:44 a.m. – 200 block S. Center St., Randall Kitzler, 23, same address in LaGrange, charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct persisting.

3:50 p.m. – 200 block Glendale, a used syringe was found on the ground. Its cap and safety cap were found nearby. The items were taken in as evidence.

Grafton Police

Thursday, July 22

5:41 p.m. – 500 block Main St., a woman advised that a vehicle had passed her using the curb lawn. The car pulled into Marcos, where the owner of the car is an employee who was making a delivery. An officer arrived at the establishment where he found the employee driver to have road rage.

Friday, July 23

11:31 a.m. – 1000 block Yarmouth, a juvenile was found riding a motorbike. The officer spoke with the parents and they were advised that if there is another incident with the motorbike, they will be charged and the motorbike will be taken away by the police.

5:39 p.m. – North Main Street, a man called after he had been approached by juveniles asking him to purchase cigarettes for them. The police spoke with the man, the juveniles and the employee of the establishment in reference to the situation.

Saturday, July 24

9:57 p.m. – Willow Park, two vehicles were parked with the lights blacked-out. They were just talking and watching the lightening. They were told to leave the park because it was closed.
