The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

William H. O’Neill, 75, of North Ridgeville, died unexpectedly Monday, August 23, 2010, at his home. He was born October 4, 1934 in BayÂonne, New Jersey, raised his family in Holden, MassachuÂÂsetts, moved to Avon Lake, and then to North Ridgeville, where he lived for 17 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veterÂan. He retired from U.S. Steel, and worked part-time for Springvale Golf Course. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Avon Lake and a member of the Westside Irish American Club.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emily (nee JohnÂson) O’Neill; four children: William J. (Kathleen) O’Neill, Kathleen M. O’Neill, John F. O’Neill, and Kevin M. (Mary) O’Neill; six grandchildren, Bryan, Timothy, Jack, Erin, Megan and Kelly; sister, Regina Johnson; and brother, Gerald F. O’Neill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen (nee Hannon) O’Neill; and a brother, Jack O’Neill.
Friends will be received Friday, August 27, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon. Mass will be Saturday, August 28, 2010, 10 A.M., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 410 Lear Rd., Avon Lake, 44012 (Please meet at church). Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Mission and Outreach Program at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Avon Lake.
