Chad Everett Earl, 39, of Lorain, passed away at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family. He was born December 2, 1970 in Oberlin.

He worked as a social worker, commu­nity activist and men­tor. He was a graduate of Elyria High School and re­ceived his masters from Cleveland State University in 2007.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Ober­lin, Community that Cares, Big Brothers & Sisters Club, 100 Men of Lorain County, Boys to Men Ministry of Mt. Zion in Oberlin, U.M.A.D.O.P. Chad was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed playing Madden football and fantasy football.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette L. Earl of Lorain; father, Craig (Susan) Robin­son of Oberlin; son, Ricky A. Earl of Lorain; daughters, Rashay S. Earl and Raven S. Earl, both of Lorain; godchil­dren, Terrance, Xavier, Tan­zania, Turmell, Alivia and Omarion; bro­thers, Marshall B. Robinson of Louis­ville, Kentucky, Tory T. Blevins of Cleveland and Joseph D. Tatum of Oberlin; sisters, Felicia S. Earl of Rich­mond Hts. and Carissa D. Robinson of Cleveland; maternal grandmother, Ellen Jones of Oberlin and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nep­hews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ardinal C. Earl.

Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2010 from 10 A.M. until the time of servi­ces at 12 Noon at Faith Minis­tries Christian Center, Lor­ain. Rev. Anthoni D. McEl­rath of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Alvin and Diane Lindsey of Faith Ministries Christian Center, will offici­ate. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery.
