The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Robert E. Clark

roberteclarkRobert “Bob” E. Clark, 63, of LaGrange, died unexpectedly Mon­day, August 30, 2010 at EMH Regional Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1947 and was a lifelong resident of LaGrange. He was a graduate of Keystone High School in 1965.

Bob was a driver for United Parcel Service and he retired from Federal Express and he also farmed.

A veteran of the Marine Corps, he was commended for his service in Vietnam as a Scout Sniper. He was a life member of the Grafton VFW Post 3341, the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and the Am Vets, Post 3341.

He was well known in the area for his dedication to those in need, especially vet­erans. His kind deeds and concern will be greatly missed. One of his greatest joys were his grandchildren and watching their partici­pation in sports. He also enjoyed life on the farm.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy J. (nee Wack) to whom he was married for 41 years; daughters and their hus­bands, Traci and Ralph Foor of Henrietta, Trista and Tom Prechtel of LaGrange; son and his wife, Travis and Jodi Clark of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren, Mitchell, Joshua, Halle, Braden, Allen and Audrey; his mother, Rosemarie Clark of LaGrange; mother-in-law, Blanche Wack of Elyria; brother, James Clark of La-Grange; sister, Kathy Clark of Elyria; sister-in- law, Traci Clark of Bullhead City, Ari­zona; brothers-in-law, Larry, Danny and Alan Wack and their families and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; father­in- law, Al Wack; sister, Rose and brother, Bill.

At his request, a private family burial will be in Rock­wood Cemetery. A celebra­tion of his life will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Grafton VFW Hall, Post 341.

The family has set up a fund in Bob’s name at any First Merit Bank for dona­tions to further his support of veteran’s needs.
