Beulah Marie Cool, 88, of Oberlin, passed away Tues­day, August 31, 2010 in the Keystone Pointe Nursing Home in LaGrange, after a long illness. She was born November 28, 1921 in Hacker Valley, West Virginia and had lived in Oberlin for over 50 years.

She was a member of the East Broad Street Church of Christ in Elyria for many years. Mrs. Cool was a home maker who enjoyed caring for her family, her home, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Young of Oberlin; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and by her sister, Ina Tinney of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Cool in 1989; son, Larry Cool in 2008; parents, Edward and Emma (nee Brake) Simmons; one sister and three brothers. Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. Mrs. Cool will then be taken to the Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, 155 Mc-Graw Ave., Webster Springs, West Virginia for funeral services Saturday morning, September 4, 2010. Burial will be in the Cool Cemetery, Jum­bo, West Virginia.
