The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Lisa A. Cox (nee AckerÂman), 47, entered into rest at the Cleveland Clinic Tuesday, August 31, 2010 after a short illness.
She enjoyed taking care of her kids and husband, campÂing and life.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald T. Cox; children, Ronny, Robby, and Mary; parents, Robert and Judith (nee Eibling); siblings, Christina Evans, Matthew (Holly) Ackerman; motherÂin- law, Ellen Cox; sister-inÂlaws, Mary Jo Alverson, Julie Rush, Nancy Khoma, Susan Tetorakis, Charlene CarÂdamone; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held with an open house Friday, September 3, 2010 from 7 to 10 P.M. at the Avon VFW Hall, 36950 Mills Rd., Avon.
In lieu of flowers the famÂily suggests contributions to the Lisa A. Cox Memorial Scholarship Fund at any First Merit Bank.
Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd. Avon is in charge of arrangements.
