Jacob Mullins picked off his second pass and returned it for a TD at 1:23 of third.
Sophomore Russ Douglas closed first-half scoring with a 6-yard run for a TD after a long fourth-down completion.
Parma 28, Lorain 0 — More than 4,000 fans turned out for the Titans’ first game at George Daniel Field, but the home team couldn’t score.

John Banyasz scored first on a 4-yard QB keeper. Zach Bican put the home team up 14-0 with a 21-yard fumble return. A Banyasz-to-Anthony Jaegar 4-yard pass made it 21-0. Banyasz closed out scoring with a 24-yard pass to Shane Lambert.
Elyria 10, North Olmsted 6
Elyria scored on Mike Grissom’s 1-yard run and Bryce Ziegman’s 27-yard FG. The Eagles’ score came in the third on a 28-yard halfback pass from Marc Remy to Michael Gessner.

Danny Reaser passed for a career-high 396 yards, 5 TDS and two 2-point conversions.
Zach Rogers set what could be an EC single-game receiving record with 279 yards on 15 receptions and 3 TDs.

Amherst scored on Brennan Hosier TD passes to Jordan Irvin (10 yards) and Jason Stump (23 yards) and runs by Zach Kelley (7 yards) and Stump (32 yards). The Middies recovered a fumble on the Amherst 7 midway through the second leading to Tate Smith’s 7-yard scoring run. There was a delay in the game due to scoreboard problems.
North Ridgeville 42, Lakewood 28
Small-but-mighty Josh Dietz had 114 yards on 14 carries in his first start. Brandon Mundell added 93 yards on 15 carries and a TD.
Northwestern 18, Black River 15
Northwestern stuns Pirates with 86-yard scoring drive in last 1:32. Jake O’Connor rushes for both Black River TDs.

Sidenote: LeBron James was in attendance a the Wadsworth-Wooster game Friday. He was there to watch Maverick Carter’s nephew Martice Jackson, who is freshman running back playing his first game as a starter. Though his team lost 28-0 , Jackson, who wears No. 23, rushed for 100 yards on 23 carries.
