Wednesday, Sept. 1
10:54 a.m. – 1600 block Lake Ave., steak knife found in yard, turned over to police.
12:01 p.m. – 1500 block Lake Ave., teenaged male charged with vandalism, accused of tearing apart a wood picnic table after leaving the Education Alternatives School building in a “highly agitated” state.
3:24 p.m. – 200 block Warden Ave., credit card fraud reported.
4:18 p.m. – 300 block Wesley Ave., Fed Ex package stolen.
5:54 p.m. – 6600 block Midway Mall, teenaged male and teenaged female charged with theft.
6:54 p.m. – 500 block Garford Ave., bicycle stolen while child was at football practice at Eastern Heights Middle School.
6:57 p.m. – 600 block West River Road N., home broken into, cash stolen.
7:14 p.m. – 300 block Washington Ave., bicycle stolen from in front of library.
9:39 p.m. – 100 block Garvin Ave., Scott Dunlap, 32, of Elyria, charged with domestic violence and intimidation.
Thursday, Sept. 2
12:05 a.m. – 100 block Park Meadow Drive, vehicle window smashed.
12:38 a.m. – 500 block Princeton Ave., vehicle damaged while parked in driveway.
12:40 a.m. – 200 block Erie St., vehicle broken into.
1:33 a.m. – 100 block Bohannon Court, Marlon Charley, 36, of Elyria, charged with criminal trespass.
6:23 a.m. – 600 block Broad St., front window at Geisels broken.
Lorain police
Monday, Aug. 30
1:31 p.m. – 300 block Lakeside Ave., boat broken into at Spitzer Marina, fishing reels valued at $700 stolen.
2:26 p.m. – 200 block E. 33rd St., attempted break-in of residence reported.
Tuesday, Aug. 31
9:21 a.m. – 200 block Oberlin Ave., $4,000 in equipment used by company to remove asbestos is stolen from FirstEnergy plant.
LaGrange police
Friday, Aug. 27
1:30 a.m. — North Center Street, Richard Hogan, 19, Elyria, charged with expired plates, fictitious plates, DUS and possession of marijuana.
Sunday, Aug. 29
3 a.m. — Keystone Elementary School, two windows were found open on the ground level. The officers found everything OK inside and secured the building.
Grafton police
Tuesday, Aug. 24
3:23 p.m. — 500 block Main St., a husband called police after he and his wife had an argument and she left. He wanted to file a missing person’s report if she didn’t return because she never left before and he was concerned for her safety.
Wednesday, Aug. 25
11:19 a.m. — 1100 block Novak, a woman called to report that her backyard neighbors’ children continue to throw items into her backyard. Today, she found pieces of a trampoline. The parents were not home, but she wanted police to know what is going on because it is getting worse.
Friday, Aug. 27
7:08 a.m. — 1100 block Novak, a man returned home from work and found a garbage bag in his driveway with syringes and bottles. Officers took the items back to the station.
6:22 p.m. — State Street, a woman called after she heard a lot of yelling and screaming from an apartment. Officers arrived and the residents were having a verbal argument over food.
Saturday, Aug. 28
10:17 p.m. — Main Street, officers found several people in the parking lot of the bowling alley who were only “looking at the stars.” One observer said he needed to finish his coffee before he drove home for the night.
Sunday, Aug. 29
2:48 p.m. — North Park, caller advised that he is having a family reunion at the park and he found a man in the restroom with his pants down who refused to leave. Officers arrived and spoke with the highly intoxicated man who eventually pulled his pants up. He was “just getting some shade” in the bathroom.
