Spring Valley course owners’ Avon home is in foreclosure
ELYRIA — Wells Fargo Bank filed a foreclosure lawsuit against Lucinda and Robert Corna in connection with the couple’s home in the Red Tail housing development in Avon.
The Cornas own the Spring Valley Golf Club on Gulf Road.
The lawsuit filed Aug. 26 seeks a little more than $1 million plus interest from Sept. 1, 2008, in connection with the interest-only loan initially granted on April 4, 2007, for the property at 33831 San Angelo Court.
Other defendants in the suit are Patricia Cornea of Bay Village, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation, Republic Bank (known as Citizens Bank of Cleveland) First Place Bank of Warren and the Caravon Golf Co. Ltd. of Westlake.
Robert Corna said Thursday the couple is in the process of selling the home and moving to Elyria.
He said the lawsuit was filed five days after Citizens sold the home loan to a Rushmore Management Service LLC and on the same day that Citizens sent the couple a letter informing them the loan had been sold and was in good standing.
Amy Carr, a lawyer representing Wells Fargo, declined to comment.
