Browns update: Cleveland clinging to 14-13 lead through 3 quarters

CLEVELAND – For the second straight week, the Browns enter the fourth quarter with a lead.

We’ll see if they can turn this one into a win after losing the opener to Tampa Bay.

The Browns lead Kansas City 14-13. The only scoring in the third quarter was a 26-yard field goal by Ryan Succop on the Chiefs’ opening 11-play drive.

Matt Cassel hit Tony Moeaki for 20 yards and Dwayne Bowe for 17 on a pair of third-and-6s. Eric Wright, Eric Barton and T.J. Ward stopped Jamaal Charles for a 2-yard loss on third-and-1 from the 6 to force the field goal.

Both teams failed to down a punt inside the 1-yard line when someone stepped into the end zone, then touched the ball.
