Pricing Information: There is a $15 charge for the seasonal flu vaccine for residents living within the Lorain County General Health District. The Lorain County General Health District is all of Lorain County except Avon Lake, Elyria, Lorain and Vermilion. For residents living outside of the Lorain County General Health District there is a $20 charge. Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted and no one is refused due to an inability to pay.

Who should get a flu shot?
According to the CDC, the following people should get the 2010 Seasonal Flu Vaccine:

  • All people 6 months of age and older should get the flu vaccine.
  • People who are at a higher risk of severe flu and their close contacts including:
    • healthcare personnel and close contacts of children younger than 6 months of age.
    • Please note: People who got the 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine, or had the flu in 2009 should still get the 2010-2011 seasonal flu vaccine.
