Friday night scoreboard/highlights

NORTH COAST LEAGUE

FINAL Elyria Catholic 54, Trinity 31.
Panthers pull out to 34-17 lead at halftime.

Panthers fell behind 10-0 before getting on the board with a one-yard pass from Danny Reaser to James Baker. Other Panther scores came on a Joe Dempsey 3-yard run and two-point conversion by Cory Campbell, then a 10-yard run by Campbell.  EC scored twice in the last minute of the first half, on 19-yard and 5-yard pass plays from Reaser to Zach Rogers.

Panthers score again in the third and lead 40-17

Another stellar night for EC QB Danny Reaser: 27-of-43, 379 yards, 5 TDs, 1 interception; at one point during the game he strung together nine straight completions

 

PATRIOT ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

FINAL Black River 7, Keystone 0

FINAL Buckeye 12, Brookside 7: 

Trailing 7-0 at the half, Bucks come back 

FINAL: Wellington 49, Oberlin 7

FINAL : Columbia 29, Clearview 15 Jordan Newman returns a punt 57 yards for a TD and Matt Jordan runs for a 2-point conversion, Clearview leads  15-7 with 1:53 left in third.

The Raiders score from 15-yards out on a John Danyasz QB-keeper with 11:41 left in fourth. The two-point conversion try is no good. Clearview 15-13.

 Clearview fumbles kickoff, Columbia recovers. Four plays later Brindon Heidinger runs 11 yards up the middle for a TD. Danyasz runs for 2-point conversion. Columbia 21-15 with 10:17 left in game

Columbia pulls away on Heidinger 2-yard run up the middle for TD, then successful run for 2-point conversion. Columbia 29-15 with three minites to play.

NORTHEAST OHIO CONFERENCE

River Division

FINAL: Elyria 35, Cuyahoga Falls 3

Falls scores first, then never again.

 A field goal at 6:20 of at first quarter gives Falls a 3-0 lead. 

–Pioneers come back, with Dustin Stolarski scoring on a 7-yard run at 5:51 of the first. Bruce Ziegman PAT is good. Pioneers 7-3.

– Score still  7-3 at the half. The Pioneers had a chance to score from the 11 on 3rd-and-2 with 38 seconds left in the half but a personal foul, then an offsides pushed them back and time ran out before they could attempt a field goal.

– Pioneers take second half kickoff 62 yards, scoring on a 31-yard run by Keon Nealy, kick good. 14-3

– At 7:39 of third, Jared Williams scores on a 40-yard run, Ziegman kick good. 21-3

– At 3:38 of the third, Nealy romps 69 yards and Ziegman kicks another EP, Elyria 28-3

– An interception sets up a Deante Thomas 7-yard run to paydirt, Ziegman kick, Elyria 35, Cuyahoga Falls 3 with 2:11 left in game.

 

SOUTHWESTERN CONFERENCE

FINAL: Amherst 42, Berea 13

FINAL: Avon Lake 42, Midpark 7

 Avon Lake explodes for 35 points in first quarter while holding the Meteors scoreless.
AL scoring: Brian Mihalik 48-yard fumble return, Dontez  Smith 58-yard run, Trent Toy 37-yard pass to Alex Grunick, Toy 22-yard pass to Ronnie Willoughby, Zach Johnson 2-yard run.  35-0 at the half.

 FINAL: Olmsted Falls 24, Brecksville 14:

Bulldogs led 3-0 after one quarter.

 Jonathon Brick has 42 carries, 250 yards and three TDs to pace the Demons
Scoring:

The Demons turn in a fantastic 16-play, 80-yard scoring drive which took 8:53 but come up empty on a failed fourth down attempt at North Olmsted’s 6 yard line. 0-0 after one quarter.

Jonathan Brick having a great night for Westlake, scoring from 4 yards out to give the Demons a 6-0 lead. Brick already has 99 yards in 17 carries.

Brick scores from five yards out, then throws two-point conversion, Westlake 14-0 after three.

 

WEST SHORE CONFERENCE
