Dorothy T. Majcher (nee Kushinski), 81, of Lorain, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph. She was born in Lorain September 11, 1929 and remained a life long resident of the city.
Dorothy was a Parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, most recently she had been attending the Catholic Church of St. Peter.
Mrs. Majcher was a former volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, sewing and knitting.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Holley of Jacksonville, Florida; sons, Kenneth (Susan) Majcher, Steve Majcher and Mark (Nikki) Majcher, all of Lorain; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Anthony Kushinski, Jr. (Bernadine) of Lorain and her brother-in-law, Harold Boone also of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Majcher; her second husband, Anthony Majcher; parents, Anthony and Julia (nee Loda) Kushinski and by her sister, MaryAnn Boone.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 3 to 7 P.M. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. A Rosary will be recited at 4 P.M. by the members of the St. Stanislaus Altar & Rosary Society. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 14, 2010 11:30 A.M. in the funeral chapel, with the Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
