Nord relative released from jail

CLEVELAND – Police charged Oberlin resident Clifton Robinson today with one count of aggravated murder in the death of a 25-year-old Warrensville Heights man who died Sunday after being stabbed in the Flats district.
Robinson’s housemate, Lydia Nord, 31, whose family founded the Nordson Corp., will be released pending further investigation, said Sgt. Sammy Morris, spokesman for the department.
The victim, Kevin Ghee, died at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland following the stabbing at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Earth Nightclub on Old River Road.
Morris said Ghee was taken to the hospital by a friend after an argument inside the bar led to the fatal stabbing in the parking lot early Sunday.
Robinson, 33, a native of Jamaica, will be arraigned on the aggravated murder charge Wednesday.
Police said Robinson and Nord had gotten into an altercation with Ghee inside Earth Nightclub. After bouncers broke things up, they told Robinson and Nord to leave.
Morris, the police spokesman, said Robinson and Nord waited outside for Ghee.
As Ghee was leaving the bar, he was approached and a fight ensued. During the struggle, Ghee was stabbed and died of two stab wounds to the chest, according to the Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office.
A second man, Dorian C. William, 24, was treated and released for a cut from MetroHealth, according to Morris, the police spokesman.
