Lorain police were called to the East 28th Street restaurant shortly after noon on Friday. Owner Walter Maldonado showed them ceiling tiles and railings that held up the tiles on the floor. When police looked up through the damaged area, they saw a hole in the roof.
Police found droplets of blood at the scene near three video game machines that had been turned over. Maldonado told officers that about $200 was missing from the cash register, as were several bottles of liquor.
Larry Fisher, a neighbor of the restaurant, had called police about 10:20 a.m. on Friday to report that two men had forced him out his apartment window and onto the roof.
